Koskenkorva | Vodka

Koskenkorva is a bright vodka with a neutral, clean taste, originating from the village of the same name in Finland. It is made from the northernmost barley in the world and 100% unfiltered, untreated groundwater, pumped from 7–8 meters below the ground. It contains no GMOs or gluten and is also completely vegan.

DISTILLERY
Koskenkorva Vodka is produced in the suburb of Ilmajoki, in the village of the same name, by Altia Group – a company that represents many internationally recognized brands around the world. The name of the distillery means “a place near the rapids” and it is one of the few distilleries named after the place where it is located. The estate where the vodka is produced is one of the oldest in the area, and today the second generation is taking care of the family business. In the village of Koskenkorva, sustainability is a way of life.

DISTILLATION
The vodka is produced from high-quality barley grown in the distillery’s own fields – the northernmost barley in the world. The water used in the drink is 100% unfiltered and untreated to ensure the natural character of the final product. In addition, the Koskenkorva distillery uses some of the most modern distillation processes in the world. The company was awarded “Green Company” in 2018 thanks to its extremely high recycling and product reuse rate – 99.9%.
