This royal plant has always held a special place in the hearts of people since ancient times and is the basis of various stories, legends, and stories. History

The queen of flowers - the Rose has always been a symbol of beauty, youth, and health. This royal flower has always occupied a special place in the hearts of people from ancient times to the present day and is the basis of various stories, legends, and stories. This gift of nature - shy and quiet, pale or lushly colored, discreet and full of aroma, has spread its splendor across all latitudes for millennia. Roses have a long and colorful history as a symbol of love, war, beauty, and politics. According to fossils, the plant has existed for 35 million years, and the cultivation of the rose is believed to have begun 5,000 years ago in China. Archaeologists have also obtained information about the existence of roses on the Cretan Peninsula, where murals with this symbol have been found. Wreaths of roses have also been found in Egyptian tombs and silver coins minted in the 4th century BC. During the Roman period, the plants were widely grown in the Middle East. In the 15th century, the flower was used as a symbol of the rebels who fought for control of England, with the white rose symbolizing York and the red rose symbolizing Lancaster. This conflict is also known as the "War of the Roses". In Greek mythology, it is said that the goddess of love - Aphrodite, created the rose from her tears and blood for her beloved Adonis. In India, there is a myth about the appearance of the goddess of abundance and beauty Lakshmi of pink color. It is no coincidence that Persia was called the "Land of Roses". There were numerous pink areas in the cities, and the mountains were covered with roses. Of all the European countries, the greatest love was given to the rose in France. There she was so valued that not everyone had the right to care for her. Those who received this privilege undertook to provide the city council with roses every year for all holidays. Nowadays, the French are called the best specialists in growing these plants, and the Dutch are the leaders in offering flowers of love. No matter what the legends and beliefs about the rose, the damask shrub, which was brought to Europe from Syria in 1875, is considered the oldest plant variety.

Mini roses

The little sisters of flower queens! If the rose is considered the queen of the garden, then the miniature rose is the princess. ;) Miniature roses are known for their abundance of color and long-lasting bloom.

Also known as spray roses, mini roses have been cultivated since ancient times. It is believed that for the first time, the mini rose appeared in China, and in the 19th century dwarf tea rose varieties were also brought to Europe. The Dutch breeder Jean de Vinck began to use Rouletius in hybridization with the polyantha rose Gloria Mundi, and later the variety he grew received the trade name Tom Thumb. In 1936, the first miniature rose was patented in the USA.

There is a huge variety of mini roses but the most common type is Bengal red rose. Other varieties such as Triumph, Gloria, and Clotilde are also quite popular. Varieties such as "Bourbon rose", and "Souvenir de la Malmaison" are representatives of the larger type of spray roses. Tea and Chinese roses are characterized by a large number of mall spines but the flowers are extremely long-lasting. Irish rose structurally resembles a tulip flower, and Lavender Meillandina is distinguished by a rare lavender color. Curlers, Daniela, Cinderella, Little Baccarat, Garnet Bracelet, Sunmaid, Mr. Bluebird are cultivar names that are also very common.

In this variety of roses, our team at Top-Flowers offers unique arrangements with mini roses and bouquets, which we deliver directly to your loved ones in Sofia and the whole country.

Colors and symbolism

In the language of flowers, there are a huge number of meanings in terms of shades and colors. If you've settled on a lovely arrangement or bouquet of roses, but aren't sure which color would be right for a particular occasion, we might consider the symbolism of the color of roses so you don't end up sending the wrong signals or being misunderstood. Of course, there are no written laws about this, and it's always good to know the recipient's color taste preferences, but color symbolism would definitely help us get started.

Red Roses - the symbol of love and passion, admiration and respect! The bright colors of red and burgundy are strong indicators of love and attraction. This hint of wishes is most often given to a loved one.

Pink Roses  - Femininity, elegance, and sweetness. These are the qualities that the pink rose has. Depending on the shade and saturation, the pink rose can symbolize different things. The hot pink color can be presented with appreciation and admiration, and the lighter roses - as a sign of tenderness, joy, happiness, and delicacy.

Peach Roses - Suitable for expressing gratitude, especially after the conclusion of a successful business deal or fruitful cooperation. Peach roses are a symbol of sincerity and modesty and are an appropriate gift for a loved one as a sign of sympathy and support.

Yellow Roses - This beautiful and bright shade is extremely suitable for a gift to a dear friend. A color for luck and confidence, a symbol of true friendship, warmth, and affection. For cheerful mood, happiness, and joy.

White Roses- Like most representatives of flowers in white color, the white rose symbolizes purity, innocence, and youth. It is characterized by dedication, love, and loyalty.

Cream Rose - At first glance, you might say that there is no difference between a white and a cream rose, but the cream color infuses the rose with perfection, grace, and charm. It is a great gift for a loved one whom you care about very much.

Despite the symbolism of the different colors, our Top-Flowers team advises choosing bouquets and flower arrangements that match the recipient's taste preferences.
