Room Violet (Saintpaulia)

Saintpaulia, also known as African violet, is a popular houseplant loved for its beautiful flowers and easy care.

Description: Saintpaulia is a small plant with round, dense leaves and delicate flowers. Its flowers come in various colors and shades, making it an attractive decoration for your home.

Growing Conditions:

Light: African violets prefer bright but indirect light. It's best to place them near an east or west-facing window where they can get morning or afternoon sun.

Temperature: Maintain room temperature around 18-24°C. Avoid sudden temperature changes and cold drafts.

Watering: Water African violets from the bottom by placing the pot in a tray of water and allowing it to absorb moisture from the bottom. Avoid getting water on the leaves, as this can cause spotting. Let the top layer of soil dry between waterings.

Humidity: African violets enjoy humid air. You can maintain humidity by placing the plant on a water-filled tray or using a room humidifier.

Feeding: Feed African violets with liquid flower fertilizer during active growth (spring and summer) every 2-4 weeks. Avoid over-fertilizing, as it can harm the plant.

Repotting: African violets do not require frequent repotting. Usually, repotting every 1-2 years is sufficient. When repotting, use well-draining potting soil.

Caring for the Flowers: When the flowers fade, carefully cut them near the base with scissors. This stimulates new growth and re-blooming.
