Bonsai | Microcarpa Ginseng (Ficus Microcarpa Ginseng S) is a tree that originates from Southeast Asia. It is part of the large family of figs and can reach a height of up to 3 meters, but as a bonsai, it is grown to be much smaller. The roots of Ficus Ginseng are curved, resembling a forest of many knots and forest paths, making it one of the most attractive bonsai trees.

Exposure:

Bonsai Ficus Ginseng prefers light, but not direct sunlight. It will grow best if placed on an east or west window or in a place where it can receive moderate sunlight. If the plant is placed in a location that is too dark, its leaves may turn yellow and dry out.

Watering:

Bonsai Ficus Ginseng should be watered regularly but should not be allowed to soak up too much water. Watering should be done when the top of the soil looks dry, but it is important to make sure that the bottom of the soil is still moist. Carefully water the soil to the edges of the pot and wait for the excess water to drain.

Repotting:

Bonsai Ficus Ginseng should be repotted once a year, preferably in the spring. Choose a new pot that has a larger diameter than the previous one. Place the repotted plant in the new soil, adding a little new soil to fill in the gaps. After repotting, water the plant. With bonsai trees, it is not necessary to change the pot, only the soil, and trim any excess roots.

Fertilizing:

Bonsai Ficus Ginseng should be fertilized in the spring and summer with liquid fertilizer. This will help it grow and develop better. Special bonsai liquid fertilizer or universal liquid fertilizer diluted by half with water can be used. It is important to avoid using too much fertilizer as this can cause the roots of the plant to burn.

Pests:

Bonsai Ficus Ginseng can be attacked by various pests, including spider mites, fruit flies, and moths. To prevent pest attacks, it is important to provide the plant with the proper growing conditions and to clean its leaves regularly. If pests do appear, insecticide can be used.
