Sarracenia flava

Sarracenia is a Carnivorous plant native to North America. They are also known as "trumpets" because the carnivorous part of the plant is tube-shaped - elongated and extended at the top and end. Each tube has a cap that protects it from contamination with particles that can clog it, but also acts as an insect landing pad.
To attract prey, Saracens produce sweet nectar on the underside of the lid and on the upper edge of the trap.

These plants are perfect for the window and the yard. They will hunt insects all year round, and you will enjoy their beautiful colors.

The plants of the species Sarracenia are completely cold-resistant and can easily spend the winter outside anywhere in Bulgaria. They are extremely easy to grow and need additional nutrition, only if at a certain point the population of insects is lower - once a month it has to be feed with ordinary liquid fertilizer. You can water abundantly once a month with fresh water to remove excess food residues.
