Decisions made weeks and months earlier determine not only prices and availability, but also the quality of every single delivery on February 14.<\/p>\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Order intake and capacity control<\/h3>\n\n<p><p data-start=\"1349\" data-end=\"1406\">Order intake for St. Valentine\u2019s Day opens on <strong>January 18<\/strong>.<\/p><br\/><p data-start=\"1408\" data-end=\"1654\"><\/p><\/p>\n\n<p><p data-start=\"1408\" data-end=\"1654\">Around <strong>February 10<\/strong>, we usually reach our physical capacity. At that point, it is possible to temporarily stop accepting new orders and reopen intake later if we manage to catch up. In the last <strong>2\u20134 days before the holiday<\/strong>, this happens more often.<\/p><br\/><p data-start=\"1656\" data-end=\"1784\"><\/p><\/p>\n\n<p>This is not chaos, but control. We prefer to pause order intake rather than take on more than we can deliver without compromise.<\/p>\n\n<p><p data-start=\"1786\" data-end=\"1916\">All holiday deliveries are carried out <strong>on February 14 itself<\/strong>, with the week before and after also experiencing increased workload.<\/p><br\/><p data-start=\"1918\" data-end=\"1948\"><\/p><\/p>\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Pricing, planning, and reality<\/h3>\n\n<p>We work with standing orders \u2013 fixed weekly quantities that we receive throughout the year. This provides stability and predictability during normal periods.<\/p>\n\n<p>For St. Valentine\u2019s Day, conditions are different.<\/p>\n\n<p>Our main holiday supply is:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><p data-start=\"2190\" data-end=\"2247\"><strong>requested, prepaid, and confirmed as early as December 15<\/strong><\/p><br\/><p data-start=\"2249\" data-end=\"2324\"><\/p><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><p data-start=\"2249\" data-end=\"2324\"><strong>with a price difference of approximately 40% compared to year-round pricing<\/strong><\/p><br\/><p data-start=\"2326\" data-end=\"2466\"><\/p><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p><p data-start=\"2326\" data-end=\"2466\">Despite this, we deliberately work with a <strong>reduced margin<\/strong> in order to keep prices as balanced as possible in the early stage of the campaign.<\/p><br\/><p data-start=\"2468\" data-end=\"2736\"><\/p><\/p>\n\n<p>Once our own quantities are exhausted, additional supplies from external vendors become necessary \u2013 at significantly higher prices (up to 60%) and with quality that does not always meet our standards. That is why we prefer to limit order intake rather than compromise.<\/p>\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Why roses increase in price the most<\/h3>\n\n<p><p data-start=\"2776\" data-end=\"2854\">On St. Valentine\u2019s Day, <strong>the red rose<\/strong> sees the most significant price increase.<\/p><br\/><p data-start=\"2856\" data-end=\"3090\"><\/p><\/p>\n\n<p><p data-start=\"2856\" data-end=\"3090\">Producers require us <strong>to<\/strong> <strong>purchase 1 colored rose for every 3 red roses<\/strong>, which directly impacts the overall cost of the supply. For this reason, we try to distribute the price burden across different products, but it is inevitable that:<\/p><br\/><p data-start=\"3092\" data-end=\"3097\"><\/p><\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>roses<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>bouquets with a large number of roses<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>and labor-intensive arrangements<br data-start=\"3170\" data-end=\"3173\"\/>carry higher prices.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">One day with the volume of a month<\/h3>\n\n<p><p data-start=\"3231\" data-end=\"3339\">On St. Valentine\u2019s Day, we fulfill an order volume<strong> comparable to what we usually process in an entire month.<\/strong><\/p><br\/><p data-start=\"3341\" data-end=\"3606\"><\/p><\/p>\n\n<p>We work with the same team that supports us throughout the year.
